Hagios Press Spring 2013 Launch and Reading

In late April, Hagios Press launched three collections of poetry in Regina, Saskatchewan:
  • The Invisible Library, by Paul Wilson
  • Stealing Home: Baseball Poems, by Dwayne Brenna; and
  • The Survival Rate of Butterflies in the Wild, by Murray Reiss.
I remember Paul reading from a draft of The Invisible Library a couple of years ago, so it was great to see the work as a completed book. And I enjoy launches, primarily for the chance to hear the writers present their work, but also as a time to network and celebrate writing. So it was a good evening!

My camera was also very happy to be in a sunny, well-lit room — although it's possible that the cinder block walls of the Cathedral Community Centre would perhaps be somewhat more appealing in the traditional literary gloom...

With thanks to the poets and readers!
